Seiko
In the 1960's Seiko introduced the first quartz (battery) watch and changed the face of watch making forever. Today they remain at the forefront of precision technology.
Their impressive innovations include the "Auto Relay" watch a kinetic timepiece, powered not from a battery but by the movement of your wrist. It will "go to sleep" when its not in use, but with a few shakes will "wake up" and automatically set itself to the correct time.
Seiko have recently got together with Honda to create the Sportura range of Formula 1 drivers watches. Since 1877 Seiko have delivered Japanese engineering at its best.
