Murphy Jewellers was established at 85 High Street Kilkenny in 1903 by Patrick T. Murphy, whose name resides above the door to this day.

A skilful craftsman, he built a solid reputation for reliable, personal service in quality jewellery and watch-making. This tradition has continued over three generations in his family to become the successful jewellery business that you can visit today.

Murphy Jewellers is in the same family for three generations as a successful, progressive and vibrant jewellery business located in the heart of Ireland's medieval capital.

Seamus Costello, the present proprietor, is the grandson of the founder Patrick T. Murphy. Murphy Jewellers has, since its foundation, traded in the same premises of 85 High Street, Kilkenny. Murphy Jewellers has evolved and changed throughout those years and continued the tradition of excellence established by Patrick Murphy in 1903.

The continuity and loyalty of his customers was well appreciated by Patrick Murphy and the following generations of those customers are greatly valued today.

The shop underwent an even more extensive renovation in 2004. With its beautiful modern interior and newly exposed exterior brick work it's a great experience for those who visit it.
